Microsoft setiap versi OS pasti memiliki jangka waktu pemakaian, yang mana ketika sudah tidak berlaku maka akan dihentikan Vulnerability melalui pembaruan rutin.
Setelah kemarin mengumumkan masa berakhir dari Windows 10, kini giliran Windows 11 22H2 dan 21H2 yang juga kembali diumumkan.
Sekedar informasi, pengguna Windows 11 22H2 akan diberikan kesempatan sedikit saja di mana hanya sampai 8 Oktober 2024 nanti.
Dengan berhentinya pembaruan maka nantinya pengguna tidak akan mendapatkan sistem keamanan terbaik, sehingga ada potensi data dicuri.
Kesannya memang memaksa pengguna Windows 11 22H2 untuk Update ke versi terbaru Windows OS, seperti Windows 11 21H2 Enterprise, Educations dan loT. Atau Windows 11 22H2 versi Home dan Pro.
Menjadi sebuah peringatan bagi pengguna Windows 11 22H2 untuk bisa Update ke versi terbaru, mengingat perusahaan telah memberikan pemgingat akan hal ini.
“REMINDER The October 2024 security update is the last security release for Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11, version 21H2 and Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2. After this date, devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and preview updates containing protections from the latest security threats. Supported editions of Windows 11, versions 23H2 and 22H2 will continue to have support through their specific lifecycle dates, which can be found at the Windows 11 release information page..” tulis Microsoft.
Ini tentu bukan pertama kalinya Microsoft memberikan pengumuman dan memaksa pengguna untuk Update ke sistem terbaru, di Windows 10 bahkan hal ini telah sering mereka lakukan.
