Qualcomm dalam waktu dekat akan merilis prosesor mereka yang mana akan debut dengan SD 8 Gen 4, di mana perilisannya sendiri belum diresmikan oleh perusahaan.
Beberapa perusahan besar seperti Samsung hingga Xiaomi juga dinyatakan akan menggunakan prosesor ini untuk seri Flagship mereka nantinya, meskipun begitu masih menjadi misteri.
Qualcomm sendiri menekankan akan kemampuan GPU yang ada di SD 8 Gen 4, di mana mereka memang memberikan pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk membawakan peningkatan.
Menurut laporan, Qualcomm bahkan telah sukses membawakan peningkatan GPU hingga 56% lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan SD 8 Gen 3.
Hasil dari Benchmark yang mereka bawakan tercatat mencapai 1.15GHz yang mana tentu ini sangat tinggi, menjadikan Qualcomm sebagai salah satu perusahaan yang sukses mengembangkan Clock at di maksimal.
“Reported that clock speeds as high as 1.25GHz were being tested. Note that the 1.15GHz figure and the benchmark results below are from a QRD, i.e. a Qualcomm Reference Device, which normally uses early runs of new chips that can’t hit the same clock speeds as the retail version, so 1.25GHz is still possible.
Results from GFX Bench’s Aztec Ruins High show a 125fps result for the 8 Gen 4 chip, while the Adreno 750 inside the 8 Gen 3 achieves 96fps. Other results for the new GPU include 166fps on 3DMark’s Wild Life offscreen test and 44fps on Wild Life Extreme Unlimited.”
Qualcomm telah mendapatkan banyak sorotan, beberapa Brand besar seperti Xiaomi 15 dan 15 Pro yang akan dirilis dikonfirmasi akan menggunakan SD 8 Gen 4, diikuti OnePlus, Samsung dan iQOO.
“Galaxy S25 Ultra had its two prime cores clocked at 4.2GHz. We’ve also seen them lower (4.1GHz) and higher (4.32GHz), so we’re not sure what the final clock speed for the CPU will be. Last year there was talk that Qualcomm could dual-source the 8 Gen 4 chips, but more recently we’ve only heard of 3nm chips from TSMC’s foundry.”
