Its tabbed interface is an improvement that will help you greatly in working on multiple documents. It lets you open multiple documents in separate tabs and switch between the tabs. For those who have a multi monitor setup, any open document can be undocked and dragged to the other screen so that you can view two documents side by side at the same time, allowing you to be more productive since you don’t have to switch back and forth between two tabs that you view the most.

Features and Highlights

CorelDRAW X7 has a vast amount of features. With so many buttons and options around, a new user could easily get overwhelmed, which is why workspaces are created. Workspaces can help you navigating the interface. By selecting a proper workspace, you can also finish your work more efficiently. Some of the prepackaged workspaces are Lite, Classic, and Default. If none of the workspaces is good enough, you can pick one and then customize it by removing and adding buttons. Better yet, you can switch from one to another workspace quickly.

Font Playground is a new addition in CorelDRAW X7. Thanks to this amazing feature, experimenting with fonts to find the most perfect one for a design becomes easier than in the previous versions of CorelDRAW. It’s a docker where you can view and compare the same text in different fonts and sizes.

QR Code Generator is another brand new feature in CorelDRAW X7. Not everyone is going to use it, but for those who do, it is a great generator that deserves some mention. You can store information in it, tweak its visual aspects, and validate the code.

This version of CorelDRAW also comes with a set of harmony rules to find complementary colors. It works by linking the colors to each other in such a way that you can modify a color without disrupting the color harmony. The color that you select and modify in a harmony is used as a base to adjust the other colors accordingly, saving you from wasting time of adjusting each color independently.

Alignment Guides are no less better than the ones above. Without these guides, aligning multiple objects would take a longer time to finish. They appear when you need them, and they can align objects in three ways: center to center, edge to edge, and edge to center.
