Hamsterball Gold is a game that lets you spend your day rolling a hamster ball with a hamster inside until it reaches the goal. It is a very basic but fairly entertaining game for children and adults alike. There are no complicated rules so everyone can learn how to play it in just a couple of minutes.

What you need to do in this game is guiding the ball to the final destination in the least amount of time. In addition to having to go through a winding path, you will face a variety of obstacles such as water wheel, mashing maces, and tar that slows down the ball.

Hamsterball Gold shows a number of menus when you first start it. Click “Let’s Play”, and you will find several game modes that include Tournament, Mirror Tournament, Time Trials, and Party Games.

If you select a tournament, you will be asked to choose a difficulty level. The easiest one is Pipsqueak which is intended for beginners, Frenzied is the most difficult as it is designed for experts, and Normal is the standard difficulty level that should be good enough to bring joy into your boring day.

Tournament is divided into 15 races. It begins with Warm-Up Race. Unlike the other races, anything you do in this race will not affect your tournament stats, so you are free to experiment with all kinds of tricks that cross your mind. After Warm-Up Race ends, you can play the next race, which is Beginner where there are bumpers to speed you up a little and 8-ball that you need to watch out as it can bump you off.

Mirror Tournament is similar to Tournament but the left and right sides of the game is reversed. To play this mode, you have to unlock it first by playing Tournament at normal difficulty level. Pipsqueak lets you win easily but it won’t let you unlock anything.

Playing Hamsterball Gold all by yourself is fun, but if you’re started to get bored, you can play with someone else by entering the Party Games mode. Anyone who gets the hamster ball to the goal first is the winner of the match.

To fully enjoy playing Hamsterball Gold, you can go to the Options menu to adjust the sensitivity level of the hamster ball movement, make the sound and music louder, enable the safe mode, switch between 16-bit and 32-bit color quality, enable full screen, and specify a screen resolution.

Other than switching between the two controls, another trick that you can use to win the game is by rolling the hamster ball fast enough every time you come across a difficult hazard.
