What if you get attacked by a horde of hungry zombies and the only way to survive is using some zombie-zapping plants? That’s what Plants vs Zombies is all about. Zombies want your brain, so they invade your home. Your self-defense weapons are not guns, bazookas, knifes, or swords, but plants which seem to be born just for the sake of getting rid zombies.

Overall there are 26 types of zombies that stops at nothing to get a taste of your brain. To protect yourself from the seemingly endless wave of attacks, you have 49 zombie-zapping plants in your arsenal to eliminate every single zombie that comes knocking at your door.

Features and Highlights

It begins in the front yard where you will get instructions on what to do: clicking on a seed packet, planting the seed, collecting falling suns to grow the plants, and defending your home from the first wave of zombie attack. During the fight, you’ll get a sunflower as a bonus plant.

Sunflower is an extremely important plant in the game, so it is recommended to plant at least three of them on the yard. You can grow plants faster by planting more sunflowers.

As the game progresses, you will fight a lot more zombies, and you will encounter some special zombies. Zomboni, for instance, is a zombie riding a machine that crushes plants and temporarily make your yard soil useless by leaving an ice trail on it. In Adventure mode, Zomboni is the 13th zombie that will invade your home. The ice trail can disappear on its own but can also be destroyed if you have Jalapeno.

Plants vs Zombies features five modes. Adventure is the primary mode that consists of 50 levels and where you have the chance to unlock Mini Games, Puzzle Mode levels, and Survival Mode. At almost every level, you will get a new plant. Peashooter is the only plant you can use as a weapon in the beginning of this mode.

28 mini games are available for you to unlock. Some of them are even harder than the Adventure mode. Take a look at Wall-nut Bowling, for example. It closely resembles one of the levels in the main mode but there are more zombies in it. Wall-nut is the star in this mini game. You beat zombies by rolling Wall-nuts toward them.

ZomBotany is another mini game where zombies have plants as their heads. There is also It’s Raining Seeds where you have to quickly plant the seed packets that fall from the sky, otherwise they will disappear. The other mini games are Beghouled, Seeing Stars, Beghouled Twist, Column Like You See ‘Em, Zombie Nimble Zombie Quick, and so on.
